Delegates Conference

2005 saw the union for the first time hold a two-day Delegates Conference. Delegates overwhelmingly supported a two-day Conference, which meant this year for the first time the Union, had more registrations for the Conference than we had positions.

Given the attack the Union faces by the Howard/Costello Government, Delegates unanimously endorsed a plan, which will reshape and continue to build the Union into the future.

The plan will ensure that the Union will be able to continue to respond to member grievances, strengthen delegate structures and have the capacity to campaign on important issues for members in the context of a hostile industrial environment.

Feedback from Delegates attending the Conference was extremely positive and delegates left the conference with renewed vigour and optimism about the Unions future.

Next Year's conference is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever!
