MIA Radiology Members Close to Winning New Agreement

HACSU members working for private sector radiology group, MIA, are close to winning a new agreement, which will increase wages and improve working conditions.

MIA members originally got together in August to develop their claim and subsequently forwarded this to the employer.

A counter offer was received from the employer in mid October, which members have requested time to consider.

Key items in members claim are:

• an improved long service leave provision so that it can be accessed on a pro rata basis at 10 years instead of 15
• 17.5% leave loading provision
• a minimum of 12% increase in wages over 3 years
• a new career structure for admin and clerical workers
• a new career structure for sonographers.

All members are hoping the agreement will be finalised soon.
