Umina Park Staff Workload Rising AgainThe issue of rising workloads for staff working at the Umina Park Nursing Homes (The Grange Campus) has again bubbled to the surface. Like many nursing homes around Tasmania, managing rising workloads has become an ongoing issue, putting both the health of staff and the care of clients at risk. Staff are saying basic daily tasks are impossible to finish in the time available. Staff have sought a modest increase of 2 carer hours per day but this has been rejected by management. HACSU representatives have now sought a meeting with the CEO of One Care to make sure staff concerns are properly addressed. Updates will follow.
