If you’re asked to attend a disciplinary meeting,
don’t go alone! You have the right to have someone with you to support you or
to represent you, and your employer must accommodate you if you want to have
someone accompany you.
If you are called to a disciplinary meeting, contact
HACSUassist and we will arrange for a HACSU organiser to go with you.
If
you face an issue at work where you need legal representation,
HACSUassist organisers and HACSU’s Legal Officer can represent you.
As
part of your membership, we can provide representation for Workers
Compensation, Tasmanian Industrial Commission matters, Anti-Discrimination issues, applications to the Fair Work Commission and general legal matters (e.g. wills).
You don’t need to risk having
to front the cost for your own lawyer for something outside your control
when your union is there for you.
